Going Nowhere

What’s in the very center?

That Unfamiliar.

That I-know-I-should-go-there-

but-there-is-nowhere.

If there is nowhere,

”I” can’t go there.

Only There;

that perennial Unfamiliar.

This thought illustrated itself in action within a meditation session this morning. Instead of remaining soaked in the Unfamiliar, which I suppose is impossible for “me” to do with any sort of intentional act of will, I was attending instead to the creation of this poem (which was fun and I don’t regret it). It felt meaningful, but I wonder if it distracted from something more deeply meaningful.
